Good day's writing.

Three productive hours! Have moved things forward substantially. After a lot of procrastination this morning, actually.

I always forget, when it's going slowly, that a good day's writing can show up at any time, unexpectedly. One of those things you can't predict. Be nice if you could.

So... relief.

Wrote my first scene for 'The Gap' last night...

My plan is to just write stuff for the next couple of months, and then string it all together into a 'first draft'. I'll see how it works out - might post something further about this approach to the draft on my blog...

Cheers, Sean

Hmmm...
Maybe I should start that draft that I've been talking about starting for the last two or three weeks.

Well concidering i was supposed to finish my second draft by the end of February and I have barely started it yet, I should say I am a little bummed.

In the last two months i have done pretty much no writing, and have flipflopped constantly on what direction i should be going on. Plus ive had a bit of other stuff to do, but that should be settling down now.

The second draft aint as easy as all that.

Anyway, just thought i would post to say i am going to start writing this weekend, and hopefully maintain some sort of dedication to make draft 2b ready for the First Writers Initiative in June. Not that it will be the kind of material they are looking for. I just think it is a good chance for a deadline.

Heres hoping!

OK, good luck. First Writers' Initiative does seem to work well for lots of people as a deadline. Why are you flipflopping? You're not expecting your second draft to be perfect, are you? It's still work in progress, so maybe accepting it'll still be imperfect will help.
