On page 80, back on doing pages. After beating myself up a bit for my scenes sucking, have decided it's okay if they suck. As right now am working out story. Plenty of time to sort out scenes once story is locked down. Hope I can keep to that.
OK, so it does disturb me that i am at page 85 and i have yet to hit the 3rd act. In fact i think i will be lucky to hit the third act before page 100. The whole freaking script should only be 90 pages tops.
OK so it completely wiggs me out.
But i am determined to get it all on paper. This must be my only objective.
I am hoping to hit the 3rd act before the month ends.
I think writing this was part self-pep-talk, and part me freaking out.
Yeah, that kinda thing freaks me out too. In reality I don't think it's a problem at all though - means you are free to cut a whole lot more in the next draft without ending up with less than a film. Right now I have chosen to look at my draft as a glorified plotting pass, that's my 'free pass' out of minding whether my actual scenes are any good. Anyway, as you say, getting it down on paper is what it's all about.

Five pages today. And I'm pretty happy with the quality of the script so far. It's slow going though!
