Flu.

Did some work today but finished early again as flu is setting in (gently but definitely). I'm not sure how much I should push on despite flu (as I'm not sick-sick but still definitely not on form). Don't want to screw up something that's been going really well up till now. What do other people do? Do you find you can press on even when sick? Or do you find it's best to bail until you're better?

Basically I tend to work if I'm able to sit up at my desk... otherwise I'm too sick and can be found watching the TV or sleeping.
I find a good indicator for me is if I sit at my computer and mean to work but find that I've just started playing pacman or tetris, and even that seems hard, then I shouldn't really be sitting and should go and lie down.
I'm never too worried about stuffing up my draft with bad work as I always re-read my draft from the beginning at the start of each writing session... so any bad writing I notice quite quickly and delete.

I do a bit of work, but generally get too lazy...

Goddamn it! It's happened again! I've lost another comment, this time from Sean. His explanation as to why he writes longhand. And it was a long one too... sorry all. Not sure what's going on here. Two in two days isn't so good. Will follow this up in Blogger help groups. Any suggestions as to why these comments might have been lost, send 'em in.

Anyway, Sean - I think I used to write up handwritten notes too (for university essays, before I'd ever written a script) but somewhere along the way that transmuted into what I do now, which is have a Word document open for ramblings at the same time as I have Final Draft open for the draft. Always was a slow handwriter and nowadays a keyboard simply feels like liberation from that. (Did like the handcrafty feel of drawing up a mind map, though).
