Picked an idea.

Had another look at my three ideas. Kept coming up with story beats for one of them (and drew a bit of a blank for new ideas), so have decided to go ahead with that one. It's a horror movie.

So, as per plan, will be brainstorming for the outline for next three days.

So far, has been going well - have just been proceeding with logical progression from premise (as Paul Lucey suggests in his excellent screenwriting book).

Good on you, Daily Screeenwriter! I really admire the fact that you haven't gone 'Ok, I've finished a script, now I'm going to rest on my laurels for the rest of the year', but have rather started on a new thing basically straight away.

Had a bit of a strange day today. couldn't really concentrate at work but still got through it pretty quick.

Then i got home and sat down at the computer and somehow got into this zone. I must have cranked out about 6 pages in 20 minutes. And they were pretty good pages too.

I've added another three to those pages to those now and have just reached one of my key gross-out scenes. Should be fun.

Five pages today. Page 45.

And some hard stuff too, which has worked out better than I expected. Some exposition type scenes that are actually working out as emotional scenes instead. So I'm really pleased with that.
